Wonderful Willow People we walked among at the Bosque School in Albuquerque. Created by sculptor Patrick Dougherty and students among the trees in the bosque by the Rio Grande.

Here is the invitation with art I created this year. The theme is Western and we'll have some terrific foot stompin' tunes by Syd Masters and his Swing Riders. There's Blackie and Toots ropin' up some excitement... October 10 is the big day!

Dave draws

And here is Dave, my postcard correspondent. And he CAN draw, as these two pieces confirm. That's Dave himself in the self-portrait quick-draw at left and also, cavorting in the comics with his love, Patti.

Worry Bunny Episode

Palin gave me a photo she shot of a delicious green sueded bunny from a Harrod's display in London.
It was so luscious, I felt it must have special powers... thus, Worry Bunny was born.

I think Dave did not like my Worry Bunny so much, at first; hence his article announcing worry Bunny's death.

But I assured him that, since rabbits reproduce so well, there were plenty more "sons of Worry Bunny" to carry on.

Now Dave seems to be convinced of the value of Worry Bunny and makes a call in an emergency... only to find him headed off for a cruise. Sigh.

But, not to worry, Dave, Worry Bunny is never on vacation!

A Yak day

OK, today I ran out to Annie's ranch in Cerrillos with Katherine.
As we were driving in, we came across Annie and Palin rounding up a wayward horse, and followed them up the road.
Met Patricia and Russ with granddaughters looking at the blue-eyed horse. Palin rewarded Pecosa with a carrot and everyone got to pet Solo, one of the young yaks.
All in all, a nice Thursday morning! Look at that view!

Horses and geese and tarts

No, it's not another birthday for a horse... or mule. It was for Nansy - great chef - The Queen of Tarts!
Lucky us. We had a wonderful evening talking, eating great food and enjoying the gardens and animals.

Agave in bloom

It is down the street from me. I hope mine will do the same in a few years. Good show!

Horse party

It was Cancion's (the horse) 25th birthday. She grazed, unfazed, for most of the party. Cathy and Sarah (the horse's human companion) had a good laugh. Revelers enjoyed carrot cake. Cancion enjoyed carrots.

Bay Area trip

Palin and I spent almost a week in the Bay Area. We stayed with dear friend, Carol Adrienne all nights, except for one night in Half Moon Bay with Gretchen, Kerrie and their boys. (That is their full size metal dino in the front yard) Met up with some old friends. Saw the Warhol show at the DeYoung museum. Another show at the Palace of Legion of Honor. Ate at fabulous restaurants and did some fun shopping in Noe Valley, downtown San Francisco and Berkeley.
